Here's my latest update to this painting. It's coming along now and I'm feeling quite happy with it so far.

This is quite a big painting at 24'' by 18'' so I think it's going to be quite striking when completed.

This is a new painting I've started. I like to have at least three painting on the go at any one time so that I can jump from one to another and keep each painting fresh.

This painting is of a little girl asleep in a deck chair with a kitten on her lap.

West Wales Artist - Chris Chalk.

Ok, so a lots been happening art wise this month.

The Cardigan art society exhibition was opened on Friday night by the local mayor. I've got three paintings in there. The show is on in the Mwldan theatre in Cardigan town west Wales until the 6th August.

I have now got four painting on show and for sale at woodland hideaway caravan park in Rhydlewis west Wales as well.

I've also made another oil painting demo video which you can see at my website or on Youtube.
This time it's a pet portrait/ portrait painting. It's very cute!

I've just returned from a road trip up to north Wales too. I took lots of photos which I hope to get a few oil paintings out of later.

I'll keep you posted on my progress.
